LESSELS, JAMES: son of Alexander Lessels, or Lesslie, tenant farmer in Lilliebarton, parish of Burtisland; app to Thomas Orrock; in Jan 1791 Orrock loosed his apprentice "in a most disgraceful manner," 3 week before the expiration of his time, and Alexander Lessels applied to the Convener for suitable redress; Thomas Orrock was summoned to appear before the Incorporation, and was fined 5 shillings (see Minute dated 24 Jan 1791)
