The 1999 Fife Family History Fair, Organised by Fife Council
Libraries, was a great success, the delegates came from throughout
Scotland and England. The furthest travelled visitors were 3 FFHS
members who came over from U.S.A., arranging their vacation to
coincide with the fair.

Heritage Walk, Cupar(26th Sep)
On Sunday 26th September, the activities included Library special openings, a visit to St.Andrews University archives and special heritage walks. I took in the heritage walk in Cupar, along with a small band of keen explorers. We were privileged to have as our guide Steven Penrice, co-author of the book 'Old Cupar' (available from FFHS). Steven is the Chairman of Cupar Heritage Arts and Leisure Society. The leisurely walk included a visit to the old churchyard, and the site of the old prison. The walk ended with a visit to the Cupar H.A.L. Soc. archives, and a most welcome cup of tea. The walk was voted a great success by everyone present.

An intrepid band of Walkers prepare for the start of the Heritage Walk. Myself, Donald Manson(2nd left), Aileen McLaughlin(Cupar Library)(3rd left), Lee Ann Bourcier(from Oregon,USA)(Middle), Steven Penrice(Guide)(4th Right), Bill McLean(from New Jersey,USA)(extreme right)

Still smiling at the end of the Walk !!!
