Welcome to the official website of
Fife Family History Society. The site contains resources for
genealogy research covering the Fife area, and information
about Fife Family History Society, which was formed in 1989
to join together people with an interest in the research of
their Fife ancestors. The society produces a journal 3 times
a year and holds monthly meetings. Fife Family History
Society now has over 700 members both in the local area and
throughout the world.
Methil Library will close for
refurbishment at 5pm on Saturday 7 August 2010, re-opening
in January 2011. During the closure the family history
material normally held at Methil will be available in Leven
Library.
The next Fife Family History
Fair will take place next year on 17 Sept 2011 in the Rothes
Halls, Glenrothes. As the 1911 Census will be available in
2011, the Fair will have a Census theme.
